Paul A. Hynes, CFP®

Paul graduated from James Madison University in 1986 with a BA and earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL  PLANNER™ certification in 1994.

Since 1987, Paul has been working with clients helping them achieve their financial goals. Paul spent his early years in the investment business in the “bullpen”, where new stockbrokers cut their teeth calling prospects and clients dispensing/extolling investment advice funneled down from corporate investment analysts. The experience helped him appreciate the short term risk and volatility of the market and helped him realize that when it came to making money for clients, he was more tortoise than hare. So he decided to make a change and for the next fourteen years, Paul specialized in the 403(b) business, assisting educators with retirement planning focused on long term objectives. In the process, Paul has built and maintains strong relationships with over 500 current and retired educators in Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties.  

Presently Paul's focus is comprehensive financial planning which he believes to be the most valuable service he can offer new and existing clients. Comprehensive financial planning involves virtually every facet of an individual's financial circumstances. A well conceived financial plan acts as a roadmap and reference guiding clients through the ever changing phases of their life.

Paul greatest love is the experiences and adventures he enjoys with his wife Susan and their two children, Madeline and Colin. After twenty years in the financial business, through good times and bad, Paul knows that the true blessings of life are not found on a financial statement, but in the relationships we have with one another. His goal is to help the individuals and families he works with to achieve their financial goals so they can concentrate on the relationships that matter to them.
